Privacy Toolbox is designed to help people reduce privacy risks in files they are authorized to process. These rules keep the service safe, reliable, and lawful for everyone.

You may use Privacy Toolbox for
- Checking metadata in your own photos, PDFs, documents, videos, audio files, and ZIP archives.
- Cleaning files before sending them to clients, employers, students, teams, or public websites.
- Verifying whether a cleaned file still contains detectable removable metadata.
- Reviewing business, legal, HR, journalism, education, freelance, and personal files that you are authorized to process.
You may not use Privacy Toolbox for
- Illegal content or files you do not have permission to process.
- Malware, exploit code, phishing kits, botnets, stolen credentials, or harmful scripts.
- Child sexual abuse material or sexual content involving minors.
- Non-consensual intimate content, doxxing, stalking, harassment, extortion, or blackmail.
- Copyrighted content or confidential files you are not authorized to upload or modify.
- Attempts to bypass quotas, abuse free limits, overload workers, or disrupt the service.
- Using the service as long-term file storage, anonymous file hosting, or a download mirror.
Enforcement
We may reject uploads, limit access, suspend accounts, delete temporary files, or block usage that appears to violate this policy, create security risk, or harm the service or others. Privacy Toolbox is not designed for long-term file storage, anonymous file hosting, or abuse of upload/processing resources.
